Therapeutic Programs

The Kids' Care After School and Leisure and Life Skills programs are open only to Prince George's County residents. Both are offered at various M-NCPPC sites throughout the county.


The Department of Parks and Recreation encourages and supports the full participation of individuals with disabilities. All requests for disability accommodations should be made at least 2 weeks in advance of the program start date. The facilities and services of M-NCPPC are available to all without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability or ability to pay.

Program Overview

  • Programs run from September to June following the calendar of the Prince George's County Public School system.
  • Registration begins June 2, 2018.
  • When schools are closed for full days, these programs will not run.

TR Kids' Care After School Program

  • Serves the needs of individuals with disabilities from ages 5 to 21.
  • Features small group sizes, high staff/participant ratios, and adapted equipment.

TR Teen Leisure & Life Skills Programs

  • After-school program for individuals with developmental disabilities from ages 13 to 21 who attend in CRI classes at local middle or high schools.
  • Licensed program focuses on social and recreation skill development.
  • Provides opportunities for community integration and socialization with youth without disabilities.


Program fee of $1,700 may be paid in full or paid in 10 monthly installments of $170 per month plus a $25 mandatory, non-refundable registration fee due with the first payment.
