CLASS & PROGRAM REGISTRATION
The Prince George's Sports & Learning Complex Fitness Center offers terrific recreational opportunities for all ages. Hand dance, bop, senior exercise, women's weight training, and group exercise instructor training are only a few. Fitness programs are primarily offered in the evening or on the weekend to accommodate everyone's busy schedules. These programs require a one-time fee that can be found by using Smartlink when registering. Seminars and workshops are always taking place at the Sportsplex free of charge to members and non-members alike including spinal screenings, body fat analysis, sports injury prevention, nutrition and exercise, ergonomics, stress management, stroke screenings, and many more.

Fall classes begin the week of September 1.
You can view our classes online in SMARTlink Internet or read about them in Your Guide. Printed four times a year (Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter), it features a comprehensive listing of classes, programs and activities. If you are a SMARTlink customer, you will automatically receive this publication in the mail. Or, print out, complete, and mail in the FREE Subscription Application. Copies of the Guide will still be available at all County community centers & facilities, as well as at County libraries.
General registration information:
- There are now four ways to register for parks and recreation classes and activities.
- Some classes fill quickly; register now.
- Payment is due at the time of registration.
- A separate form must be completed for each person/class.
FITNESS CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Belly Dancing
Learn beginning belly dancing steps such as shimmies, undulations, planks, drills and more!
Bop (Ages 18 and over)
Come and learn how to bop, the romantic and exciting way. This art form of dance includes the smooth moves and steps of the old school, and the many beautiful turns of the new school. (4 and 8-week sessions available)
Hand Dance (Ages 18 and over)
Hand Dance is an art form of dance, which enables those who participate to build confidence and increase their self-esteem while enjoying themselves in dance. Hand Dance is a useful way to eliminate stress and can be a part of a structured weight loss program. (4 and 8-week sessions available)
Freestyle Line Dance (Ages 18 and up)
Learn all the latest freestyle dances suitable for beginners and seasoned line dancers. A great way to exercise, socialize, and energize yourself.
Fitness Ball: Seniors (Ages 60 and over)
A fitness class designed specifically for the senior population. This low impact class will aid seniors in maintaining their physical health with the use of a stability ball while providing a fun atmosphere to exercise!
Golf Conditioning
Get in shape for golf season by working sport related muscles and practicing golf related techniques. This class is coed and suitable for all golf skills and levels.
Senior Pilates (Ages 60 and up)
This Class will transform the way your body looks, feels, and performs. It teaches body awareness, good posture, and easy, graceful movement. No matter what your age or physical condition, it will work for you!
Stretching and Toning
Stretch, flex and tone with the use of resistance bands, tubing and calisthenics. Develop muscle elasticity and joint mobility.
Chair Aerobics: Seniors (Ages 60 and up)
This class is designed to stretch, flex and tone seniors. With the use of chairs, resistance bands, tubing, and calisthenics, you will develop muscle elasticity and joint mobility.
Senior Yoga (Ages 60 and over)
Senior Yoga will help those who have been sedentary and are discovering the need to exercise as they grow older and desire continued comfort and ability. The poses and methods will allow seniors to increase muscular strength, endurance, flexibility, and develop increased stamina, lung capacity, and overall wellness.
Senior Yoga Intermediate (Ages 60 and over)
Senior Yoga Intermediate will continue to improve your overall health by increasing strength, flexibility and overall wellness.
